We are delighted to share that the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum has received Accreditation in 2026, and we are doing a very happy little heritage jig about it.
For a museum rooted in the humble cottage where Andrew Carnegie was born, this recognition feels especially fitting. Carnegie’s story is one of big ideas beginning in small places: a Dunfermline weaver’s cottage, a journey across the Atlantic, a remarkable career, and a legacy of philanthropy that continues to ripple around the world.

And in 2026, there is even more to enjoy, with the museum partnering with the Royal Scottish Academy to celebrate the RSA’s 200-year anniversary through a temporary exhibition featuring artists connected to the Carnegie Travelling Scholarship.
